Valve Guide Brush
Technical informationBrush Diameter5/16 InchFilament MaterialSteel wire (ST)Wire Diameter0.006 InchShank Diameter1/4 InchMax. RPM2500 RPMPack Qty10Brush for brushing valve guides. High brush stiffness for aggressive cleaning. Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire as the filament material are ideal for work on surfaces and deburring. PFERD special wire has high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. This ensures that the wire wears down in the optimal way, as well as a long tool life, even in extreme brushing applications. Steel wire is temperature-resistant up to 600°F.AdvantagesThe metal sleeve construction enables stable operation without bending.Includes knurled handle for manual use.Long service life through use of PFERD special wire.Creates fine surfaces.ApplicationsCleaningDeburringDerustingRemoving oxide layersPaint strippingRougheningMaterials that can be workedSteel, cast steelSteel materials with a hardness > 54 HRCSteels up to 370 HV (< 38 HRC)ThermoplasticsWoodCast ironCast steelThermosetting plasticsDrive TypesFlexible shaft driveManual applicationPower drillSafetyFor safe use, guide the brush into the workpiece before beginning work. When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This especially applies to high rotational speed ranges. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm.

Welders Toothbrush 3x7 Rows Stainless Steel Wire Wooden Block
PFERD offers an extensive range of scratch brushes in various shapes and filament materials. Ideal for cleaning spark plugs, small workpieces and tools. In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316.;The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion.
