Technical informationFilament MaterialStainless steel wire (INOX)Wire Diameter0.006 InchTrim Length1/2 InchNumber of Rows3Pack Qty36PFERD offers an extensive range of scratch brushes in various shapes and filament materials. Ideal for cleaning spark plugs, small workpieces and tools. In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316.;The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion.AdvantagesExcellent for the precise cleaning of small weld seams.ApplicationsCleaningDerustingRemoving heat discolourationRemoving oxide layersPaint strippingRougheningWork on weld seamsMaterials that can be workedStainless steel (INOX)AluminumBronzeCobalt-based alloysOther non-ferrous metalsDrive TypesManual application

Wire Duster Synthetic Block
Technical informationFilament MaterialSteel wire (ST)Trim Length2 3/8 InchNumber of Rows4Pack Qty12Staple-set round carbon steel wire for cleaning chips and shavings. Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire as the filament material are ideal for work on surfaces and deburring. PFERD special wire has high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. This ensures that the wire wears down in the optimal way, as well as a long tool life, even in extreme brushing applications.AdvantagesIdeal for cleaning chips from hard-to-reach places.Long service life through use of PFERD special wire.ApplicationsCleaningRougheningDrive TypesManual application
