High-performance tungsten carbide burs, CAST cut, 14° Taper bur with radius end – Shape L
With the CAST cut, PFERD has developed innovative burs specifically for work on cast iron. These burs achieve incredibly high stock removal on cast iron and operate with significantly reduced vibration and noise. 14° Taper bur with round radius end, shape L.Special featuresUp to 100% higher stock removal rate on cast iron than conventional double cut burs, due to an innovative tooth design.Significantly increased aggressiveness, creates large chips, and has very good chip removal.Comfortable to use due to reduced vibration and less noise. The highly accurate concentricity enables precise work free from chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the bur and power tool or machine.Recommendations for useUse the burs on powerful power tools with elastically mounted spindles to avoid unwanted vibration.Observe the recommended rotational speed. The smaller the bur diameter is in the area being used, the higher the recommended rotational speed can be.For the most cost-effective bur use, work with higher rotational/peripheral speeds. For burs with a 1/4" shank diameter, use power tools with a power output from 300 watts.Safety notesVery high speeds can cause discoloration on the shank. This does not constitute a safety risk.Workpiece materialsAnnealed cast ironBlack annealed cast iron (GTS, GJMB)Cast ironGrey/nodular cast iron (GG/GJL, GGG/GJS)White annealed cast iron (GTW, GJMW)ApplicationsCutting out holesDeburringLevelingMillingMilling outSurface workWork on weld seamsCompatible power toolsFlexible shaft driveTool machineRobotStationary machinesStraight grinder
