High-performance tube brush for deburring and cleaning threads, holes and cross holes. Silicon carbide (SiC) filament brushes are designed for deburring work and surface improvement. Plastic filaments are temperature-resistant up to 410°F.
Advantages
- Highly flexible, enabling optimal adaptation to the workpiece contour.
- The dimensional accuracy of the workpieces remains unchanged.
- Abrasive grains are embedded in flexible plastic filaments, which means that the filament works on the sides as well as at the tip.
Applications
- Cleaning
- Deburring
- Roughening
- Structuring (matt finishing, brush matting and satin finishing)
Materials that can be worked
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Steel, cast steel
- Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
- Steels up to 370 HV (< 38 HRC)
- Thermoplastics
- Wood
- Aluminum
- Bronze
- Cast iron
- Cast steel
Drive Types
- Flexible shaft drive
- Manual application
- Power drill
Safety
When clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. This especially applies to high rotational speed ranges. The minimum clamping length is 10 mm. When using tube brushes inside pipes, bores, grooves, etc., consult PFERD about deviations from the specified maximum permitted rotational speed. For safe use, guide the brush into the workpiece before beginning work.
