Crimped Wire Wheel Brush
Technical informationBrush Diameter4 InchFilament MaterialSteel wire (ST)Wire Diameter0.014 InchThread / Arbor5/8-11Trim Length11/16 InchMax. RPM12500 RPMPack Qty5Designed for medium-duty brushing such as derusting, cleaning of weld seams and light deburring work. Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire as the filament material are ideal for work on surfaces and deburring. PFERD special wire has high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. This ensures that the wire wears down in the optimal way, as well as a long tool life, even in extreme brushing applications. Steel wire is temperature-resistant up to 600°F.AdvantagesHighly flexible, enabling optimal adaptation to the workpiece contour.Suitable for use on angle grinders.Long service life through use of PFERD special wire.Creates fine surfaces.ApplicationsCleaningDeburringDerustingRemoving oxide layersPaint strippingRougheningMaterials that can be workedSteel, cast steelSteel materials with a hardness > 54 HRCSteels up to 370 HV (< 38 HRC)WoodCast ironCast steelElastomersDrive TypesAngle grinderCordless angle grinder

Drum Brush
Technical informationBrush Diameter4 InchFilament MaterialStainless steel wire (INOX)Wire Diameter0.008 InchArbor Hole3/4 InchTrim Length1 InchMax. RPM6000 RPMPack Qty1Excellent for surface structuring work on large workpieces. In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316.;The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion. Stainless steel wire (INOX) is temperature-resistant up to 850 °F.AdvantagesCan be used on all common burnishing machines due to keyed arbor hole.Very corrosion-resistant.Creates fine surfaces.ApplicationsCleaningDeburringDerustingRemoving heat discolourationRemoving oxide layersPaint strippingRougheningStructuring (matt finishing, brush matting and satin finishing)Materials that can be workedSoft titanium alloys (tensile strength 500 N/mm²)Stainless steel (INOX)TitaniumTitanium alloysAluminumBronzeCobalt-based alloysHard non-ferrous metalHigh-temperature-resistant materialsNickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy)Drive TypesDrum grinders
