RPM20000 RPMPack Qty10Innovative and flexible single-knot brush for special applications. End brush with plastic-covered brush body. In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316.;The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion. Stainless steel wire (INOX) is temperature-resistant up to 850 °F.AdvantagesThe brush is degreased and does not leave any oil residue on the workpiece.Optimal access to hard-to-reach areas such as inside corners, as the knot is less likely to unravel. The plastic covering prevents the risk of corrosion.Very corrosion-resistant.ApplicationsCleaningDeburringDerustingDescalingRemoving heat discolourationRemoving oxide layersPaint strippingRoot seam processingWork on weld seamsWork on fillet weldsMaterials that can be workedSoft titanium alloys (tensile strength 500 N/mm²)Stainless steel (INOX)TitaniumTitanium alloysAluminumBronzeCobalt-based alloysHard non-ferrous metalHigh-temperature-resistant materialsNickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hastelloy)Drive TypesFlexible shaft drivePower drillStraight grinderSafetyWhen clamping the brush, ensure that the shank is clamped as far into the arbor as possible. Standard Twist Knot Wire Wheel Brush Stainless Steel
The brush knots are knotted to 75% of the length. The brush is designed for brushing large areas and for heavy-duty brushwork, such as deburring, cleaning, derusting and descaling, as well as removing spatter. Brass wire filament brushes are designed for applications like surface finishing on copper or brass workpieces. Compared to steel wire, brass wire is softer and more flexible. For all brushes with brass wire, PFERD uses wire quality CuZn37. Brass wire is temperature-resistant up to 350°F.
